Dr. Heather Cairns

Since the beginning of her medical practice in 1980, Dr Heather Cairns has always been interested in preventative and aesthetic medicine. She believes that an essential foundation for maintaining vitality as we age includes a healthy diet, regular exercise and a careful skin care regimen. Dr. Cairns enjoys helping people maximize their overall health and well-being. With a comprehensive background in family medicine, surgery, and aesthetics, she will consider all aspects of your health when formulating a diagnostic and treatment plan. Relaxed and down to earth, Dr. Cairns is open to hearing about any challenges you may face in your pursuit of aesthetic health. The practice of aesthetic medicine was a natural evolution for Dr. Cairns. She is a member of the Canadian Aesthetic Medicine Association and is fully educated and experienced in the use of botox, filler, and laser and light therapies. She has had advanced training in the use of both botox and fillers.

Dr. Heather Cairns graduated from the University of British Columbia faculty of Medicine in 1979. She has been serving the community of Victoria since 1980 as a caring physician in family practice and as a physician assisting with open heart cardiac surgery at the Royal Jubilee Hospital.

When Dr. Cairns is not treating and caring for her patients, she can be found downhill or cross-country skiing. During the summer, she also enjoys playing tennis and golf or riding her bicycle. Dr. Cairns is an avid traveller and has worked overseas. She particularly enjoys travelling in Africa and in the Middle East.
